Fruit Monsters - apple and pear monstersHere is a cute craft for all ages. After these little guys scare you, you can eat them! Even better, if you don't eat them, they'll wither and look all the scarier. ;)

Total Time: 20 minutes

Supplies:

Fruit Monsters - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Cut a wedge out of the apple to make a mouth. Keep the wedge as you will use it later on.
  2. Fruit Monsters - cut a wedge from the apple
     
  3. Smear some peanut butter into its mouth.
  4. Fruit Monsters - smear the peanut butter  in the notch for the mouth
     
  5. Cut a bunch of mini marshmallows in half.
  6. Fruit Monsters - cut mini marshmallows in half
     
  7. Stack the marshmallow halves in two rows inside the mouth to make teeth.
  8. Fruit Monsters - arrange marshmallows to make teeth

  9. Cut two shallow little holes over the mouth for eyes.
  10. Fruit Monsters - cut two shallow little holes for the eyes
     
  11. Fill the eye sockets with peanut butter, tiny pieces of marshmallow, and a sunflower seed each for pupils.
  12. Fruit Monsters - fill eye sockets with peanut butter, bits of marshmallows and a sunflower seed pupil
     
  13. Repeat the process with the pear, but add sunflowers into the peanut butter mouth to make fangs.
  14. Fruit Monsters - repeat with the pear but use sunflower seed for fangs
     
  15. Take the reserved apple wedge and cut off the ends to make ears for the pear monster.
  16. Fruit Monsters - cut ends off the apple wedge to make ears for the pear

  17. Poke the toothpicks into the ears and secure on the pear monster's head.
  18. Fruit Monsters - stick toothpicks into apple ears and secure on pear

And for variety, you could use raisins for pupils.
