Spiderweb Display Sign - finished sign on a small wooden easelThis is a recycled spiderweb/spider sign I made from recycle items I had saved. This pizza cardboard circle is transformed into this Halloween sign. All the items I used were free or items I already had at home.

Total Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:

Spiderweb Display Sign - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. I trimmed down my shopping bag to a 8" x 8" square.
  2. Spiderweb Display Sign - cut bag down to an 8x8 square
     
  3. Fold square, diagonally.
  4. Spiderweb Display Sign - fold the square on the diagonal
     
  5. Fold diagonal into triangle.
  6. Spiderweb Display Sign - fold again to create a triangle

  7. Fold again.

  9. Fold the edge like below.

  11. Using a circular cap - trace and cut.
  12. Spiderweb Display Sign - use a cap to trace the arc at the top

  13. Using your scissors, cut into the edge, but not all the way.
  14. Spiderweb Display Sign - make these cuts, do not cut all the way over

  15. Now carefully unravel the paper and you'll see your spider web.

  17. For the spiders - I used large buttons. I cut stripes of ribbon tape to resemble legs and using hot glue secured them to the spider. Add eyes.

  19. Glue tissue paper down onto the cardboard circle and then glue the spider web over the top.
  20. Spiderweb Display Sign - glue tissue paper to cardboard circle and then web over that
     
  21. Stick spiders on.

  23. I used leftover alphabet stickers to spell out BOO and stuck the stickers on piece of scrap orange cardboard and then glued it onto the sign.
