Monster "Cut"lery

Magically change a fork and spoon into something for Halloween with just a little polymer clay! Finished witch finger cutlery.

 

Approximate Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:

  • 2 oz. orange polymer clay
  • 1 tsp. red polymer clay
  • fork
  • spoon
  • aluminum foil
  • oven

Instructions:

  1. Roll clays until warm and pliable.
  2. Divide the orange in half, one for each utensil.
  3. Form a "log" and wrap around handle of each utensil. (example without cutlery)
  4. Example of molding finger number 1.
     

  5. Mold clay on top into bumpy knuckles. (example without cutlery)
  6. Hand holding finished finger.
     

  7. Press tip of spoon onto ends to make nail bed.
  8. Finger with depressed area ready to apply nail.

  9. Roll red clay until warm and pliable and divide into halves.
  10. Form into two cones, then flatten down onto fingers in either long or short version of monster nails.
  11. Preheat oven to 275F.

  12. Place finished pieces on aluminum foil.
  13. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  14. Cool.
