As soon as I found an old photo of Carmen Miranda, I knew her colorful style and punchy attitude would make a perfect Halloween costume project. I had the photo up in my bedroom for months and built the costume piece by piece for just as long.

My favorite little DIY secret with this one is the black "sequins" on the top. For the life of me, I couldn't find any sequins for sale that were big enough or shiny enough to match the photo. To substitute, I got plain black photos printed up for under a buck and just cut them into sequins!
The makeup and the 'tude were just the sexy icing on the sassiest cake my Halloween party had ever seen.
